Established in 1977, Plaspak is a family run business founded by Mr. T. Mareachealee. Plaspak grew significantly since and today, we leverage the skills of around 300 people including foreign expertise and the mastery of technology.

As pioneers to challengers, we have dared to see and do things differently by constantly harnessing our efforts and reinventing ourselves. To complete the full integration and cater both local and international market needs, additional specialized manufacturing units were implanted in both Mauritius and Madagascar; thus, enabling us to operate in a group of industries.

History of Plaspak

  • 1977 – Plaspak Ltd
    Started with the idea to serve the local food packaging market, Plaspak has evolved over the years and now it manufactures all kinds of plastic bags and sheets for various sectors of industry such as textile, agriculture, and construction among others. It specializes in the production of Polypropylene, Polyethylene, and Biodegradable plastics.
  • 1989 – Multiplast Ltd
    After packaging, we decided to venture into the injection molding procedure, a technique in which Multiplast specializes. Located at Pont Fer, Phoenix, Multiplast Ltd, manufactures hangers of different size and shape along with other plastic products.
  • 1995 – Plastic and Laminates Ltd
    Plastic Films & Laminates Ltd. has been involved in the manufacture of flexible laminated packaging with technological innovation such as lamination and gravure printing to suit the new and sophisticated types of products coming on the market. It can make Stand-Up pouches with zipper, D-Cut and Angle-Cutting pouches with the aim to provide its customers best value for their products. Until now, it has a monopolistic edge on the food flexible packing products in Mauritius and the neighboring islands.
  • 2002 – Plaspak Mada Sarl
    To meet the needs and requirements of the segmented market on an international level, a manufacturing plant was set up in Madagascar to provide the same packaging facilities.
  • 2013-Plaspak Bottles & Containers Ltd
    In order to complete the full integration, Plaspak expanded into Plaspak Bottles and Containers Ltd through the blow molding technique in 2013. PBCL fabricates bottles, containers and jerry can along with customized sleeves and caps.
